The Large Size plan was designed for the company who has outgrown
a simple internet site and is looking for more. More is what this plan is
all about:
- More Disk Space - up to 500 MB of disk space to hold those large
PDF, image, or streaming content files.
- More Data Transfer - to handle higher traffic, up to 10000 MB of traffic
per month.
- More Processing Power - Beefier servers with fewer sites per machine
to handle the demands of heavy database or CGI access.
Increased Allowances
With this plan, the data transfer allowance is increased to 10000 MB per month. If
your site has an average page size of 50KB, then this translates to about
500000 free page hits each month (that's some serious traffic!).
Also, the disk space allowance is increased to 500 MB.
Power is the name of the game when you have reached this point. With standard
web hosting servers, it is not unusual to have 400 to 800 sites on a single machine.
This can really slow you down, especially if you need fast database access or are running
ASP or CGI. With the Large plan, we guarantee no more than 50 sites on one machine
which keeps those pages coming fast. You have your choice of UNIX or NT for
the server platform so you can choose which ever system you feel most familiar
with.
Standard Features
Just as with our Starter Plans, every web account receives their own domain name,
e-mail addresses using your domain, tape backup and battery/generator power backup,
and complete site statistics.
Every day, a web-based report is generated using the highly regarded Surf Stats
analysis software detailing the activity on your site. You will know how many
visitors your site had (user sessions), how may page views (and what pages
were viewed the most/least), where your visitors are coming from, how much
data transfer took place, and many many more charts and tables. Three reports
are generated showing the traffic for the previous day, the current month-to-date
and the previous month total.
You can look at these reports to determine which pages are popular, and which
pages are getting bypassed. This allows you to concentrate your site updates
where it will do the most good, maximizing the benefit of your Internet presence.
This is one of the most comprehensive site analysis
reports in the industry, and it is included free, as a part of the Starter plan.
Secure server
If your Internet strategy includes secure server transactions
(a specific type of order-taking), we can request and install your secure certificate
for no additional charge. (Of course you will have to pay the certificate agency for the
certificate.)
